For optimal cleaning of the water surface, the pool is constantly flooded and the overflowing water is directed via the channel, the channel drains and the collection line into one or more storage tanks, and directed from there to the filtration system. The water storage tanks are sized so that the water displaced by waves and swimmers is also accommodated. An automatic level control replaces water lost due to evaporation, carry-over and filter flushing.
